Turn to us if you've been impacted by violence

In 2015, Great Plains Community Resource Center was formed as a peer support group in Lawton, OK. Since then, the organization has transitioned to become Great Plains Community Resource Center, a place that offers support to all people who have been marginalized or impacted by violence. From intervention efforts to housing solutions, you can count on us for a wide variety of services.

How can we help you?

Great Plains Community Resource Center is committed to providing a safe space for women, people of color, people who have been formerly incarcerated and people who identify as LGBT+. We take practical steps to help survivors of trauma engage with the community by providing support with:

  • Housing-If you've been evicted or escaped an abusive domestic setting, we'll help you find a temporary or permanent living situation.
  • Employment-After a trauma, it can be hard to get back on your feet, which is why we'll help you get in contact with local businesses.
  • Education-We partner with local programs to bring science, technology, engineering and math educational opportunities to at-risk youth.

Be a force of change in your community

If you can envision a community free from harassment, discrimination and violence, then you can help us build that community. When you donate money or volunteer your time to Great Plains Community Resource Center, you're investing in people who will shape the future. Join us in our mission to advocate for marginalized members of your community.
